Car Wrapping — common questions
Not on healthy factory paint — that's what cast vinyl and controlled heat removal are designed for. The real risk is repainted or already-flaking panels, where removal can lift the respray with it. We inspect every panel first and tell you if any of them is a risk before you commit.
Yes. A full colour change legally needs to be recorded on your registration certificate, the same as a respray. Partial wraps, roofs, and accents don't. We flag this at quotation rather than after the car is done.
3–5 years for a full wrap in Indian conditions. Horizontal panels — bonnet and roof — take the most sun and age first; garaged cars comfortably exceed the range.
Hand wash with pH-neutral shampoo, and keep pressure washers away from the edges and seams. Avoid automatic brush tunnels — they scuff matte and satin finishes permanently.
Different jobs. A wrap changes how the car looks and gives light protection; paint protection film is clear, thicker, and built to absorb stone chips. Owners who want both usually PPF the front end and wrap the rest.
